Capri Maddox is your Los Angeles City Attorney Neighborhood Prosecutor for our area.

Capri is responsible for prosecuting smaller crimes such as (and not limited to) prostitution, drug sales, illegal dumping, graffiti, nightclub noise, public drinking, lewd acts, and other vice activities. 

Her role is part of the “Broken Windows” theory of policing, in which prosecuting small crimes helps to prevent bigger crimes from ever happening. 

The prosecutors are driven by the understanding that the ability to respond to neighborhood complaints and address criminal problems proactively is critical to preserving the quality of life in our neighborhoods and Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch feels her role is integral in helping maintain that essential quality.

Capri has many legal tools available to improve the quality of life in urban neighborhoods such as ours.

In the past, many of the smaller crimes in our neighborhood were not prosecuted, because they fell through the cracks of the system. Capri is dedicated to working with Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch to stop these problems from falling through the cracks - and to helping us make this community a better place to live and work.
